The Dispute Resolution Process Important steps in the dispute process are as follows:
Contact the business by phone or in person, ask for someone in a position of authority, and describe your problem calmly and succinctly.
Keep a written record of your discussions with the company. Include in this record the name of the person with whom you spoke, the date, the time, and what transpired.
If your initial contact with the business fails to produce results, write to the president of the company and describe your problem.
If you are not satisfied with the results from steps 1 through 3, contact the BBB and file an official complaint.
